  1. I do not know if Fords are the same , but , later Fiat Ducato based campers have a Door management control system which uses a different module depending on which doors are required to be operated with the central locking . (it is also linked into the BCM)
  2. As Keithl has suggested , have you opened the boiler drain down tap, mine is vertical to drain (out through a pipe that comes out under the van) and horizontal to close when filling with water and when in use.
  3. A Fiat van agent should be able to supply this information from your vin number (if original alternator fitted)
  4. Have you checked for tightness the connections suggested ? also worth checking the points that had the battery master connected to them.
  5. It could be worth checking that all battery connections are tight at the batteries and also at the PSU.
  6. If it is any help, it could be worth talking to www.arelectronics.co.uk who, I believe, are able to test the PCB on Truma units if required . https://www.arelectronics.co.uk/
  7. The earlier Sargent PSUs (EC200/PSU2007 ) used separate split charge and fridge relays, often found under the bonnet on X244 Fiat Ducato . I think things may have changed when the X250 series came out .
  8. Sorry ,but I am not able to post links but if you follow the Sargent website information I have shown it leads to the split charging relay location information regarding later Sargent PSU units.(not a diagram) .As you say , the EM40 can be a problem and I believe Apuljack electronics contacted the Autotrail owners group last year asking people with problems with theirs to get in touch with them as they were developing a more robust unit as a replacement (which they have now done and it is shown in their catalogue)
  9. Information regarding the location of the split charging relay in later Sargent PSUs can be found in the Sargent support section / search articles /split charging
  10. Sargent have a repair harness for wiring/ connection damage at the EM40 module in their shop ,if needed . (product No 10001-20)
  11. If you need more information about your EM40 fuse module and EC500 PSU the www.sargentltd.co.uk website has this in its support section (I think you could find that the split charging , in your case , may be controlled through the EC500)
  12. The power supply to the starter motor from the battery is through the 500amp maxi fuse which is the large fuse on the positive battery terminal connection plate having the main large positive starter cable attached to it , the connections there on each side of the fuse may need to be checked , Along with the actual battery positive terminal post connection.
  13. There are fuses at the positive terminal of the starter battery but a jump start would not normally cause these to blow , it could be worth checking that the connections that you have already made to the under bonnet jump start points are good and that your jump pack is charged up ok. If this does not work you could try connecting the jump pack direct to the starter battery which is under the passenger side floor of the cab , beneath a removable cover.
  14. If you were to fit a Vanbitz battery master (or similar) it would keep the starter battery charge topped up from the leisure battery whenever it was being charged, without the need to change the control panel settings, they are very easy to fit and not expensive .
  15. Have a look at www.aandncaravanservices.co.uk the varying idle speed fault on Fiat Ducatos is described , with the engine to body earth cable connection (resistance ) found to being the cause , which may be the fault in your case .
  16. If you find there is not any power at the rear connections it would be worth checking if the rear fog lamp fuse ( F53 7.5 amp ) in the under-dash fuse box is ok ? There also is a fog lamp fuse (F30 15 amp ) and fog lamp relay in the engine compartment fuse box , but they may be for front fog lamps .
  17. www.olearymotorhomes.co.uk may have what you need , if not you could try www.caravanpanels.com or www.motorhomebumpers.com
  18. If you mean a habitation area seating/bed Hydraulic strut, and Elddis cannot help, there is a good selection of Hydraulic arm stays/struts (including caravan/Motorhome types) to be found on e-bay that may be what you are looking for.
  19. It could be worth trying www.motorhomebumpers.com to see if they can help.
  20. There may be a starter battery connection at the PSU which is closer .
  21. Although the Vanbitz instructions suggest using the split charging relay, if the leisure and starter batteries are not too far apart, it is just as easy to fit the connections direct to the batteries. But if you do need to use the split charge relay a wiring diagram for your Motorhome should show which colour wiring are for starter and leisure battery cable connections at the split charge relay. (or a multimeter used to show which are the correct cables to use, they may be the brown/green and brown/blue cables, with the red/yellow being connected to the fridge relay)
  22. As Alanb has suggested if you fitted a Vanbitz battery master it would enable your starter battery to be kept charged up both when on EHU (via the mains charger charging the leisure battery) and through the solar power charging of the leisure battery. It is easy to fit , not very expensive , would not need disconnection when starting and works well. The Vanbitz website explains its battery master operation and it can be fitted direct to your batteries without needing to involve your 12v electrical system or its PSU /fusebox
  23. If you find , when checked , that the actual voltage at the battery terminals is different to that shown at the control panel it may be that the control panel needs re calibrating , the details on how this is done can be found in the EC328PSU manual or from www.sargentltd.co.uk in its support section
  24. What is the voltage at your leisure battery when on EHU with the mains charger switched on ? and do you mean a PMS3v Plug in systems PSU / charger ?
  25. Good morning ,You said in the original post that you had a 2002 Fiat Ducato , not a Peugeot Boxer , but hopefully the information supplied will still apply , the parts supply people should be able to identify your model/engine type using either your registration or VIN number
