Who would you have?

postnote

Recommended Posts

As like desert island disc’s, if you could go away anywhere in your motorhome with someone of your dreams who would it be?

Mine would be Julie Etchingham, intelligent, knowledgeable, pretty and makes a really mean burrito.

Only the brave will answer.

:D

If I were on Desert Island Discs I'd have to have someone who knows that you don't put apostrophes in words that are simply plural. Otherwise they would drive me mad. And knowing what a proper noun is would help as well.

Why would that be important, would you spend you entire time on the island writing to each other, or would you actually climb down from your pedestal and indulge in some real interaction.

Men eh. *-)

OMG, I've just realised, I could be marooned on the island with you, and all you would be interested in giving me would be lessons in grammar. 8-) 8-)

It's because I love social interaction with intelligent and well-educated people and this is just one indicator of how stimulating their company would be. Anyone who can't work this out has already failed the test I'm afraid so we won't be meeting on that island! ;-)

The original post did NOT ask if you were on a Desert Island Discs, it was "if you could go away anywhere in your motorhome with someone of your dreams who would it be"?

Please read the original post silly boy. :D

Dave

How very synical of you ;-)

Your honesty is very refreshing and like you my wife is the only person I would like at my side, unfortunately she cant sing but can talk, boy can she talk. There is a saying which goes, 'I will cut a long story short' My wife's interpretation of this is, 'I will make this short story long' :-D :D

Intelligent and well educated. *-) Believe me, if you are only stimulated by someones ability to put an apostrophe in the right place, then your social interaction skills are zero, and as such extremely UN- intelligent. Therefore rendering you totally unsuitable for inclusion in a desert island disc situation, or indeed social interaction with ordinary members on this and most other forums.Does your obvious discrimination include those unfortunate, yet highly intelligent people who may be dyslexic or even suffer from autism ? How about my cousin who has Down's syndrome, she couldn't spell grammar or apostrophe even to save her life, but she is far far more educated and intelligent than you will ever be. >:-(

Oh dear! Has it ever occurred to you that I have never ever mentioned anyone's grammar before and that this may just have been a little teaser for Sicknote who specialises in digging away at other members?

My job actually involves an awful lot of social interaction and I love it! However, if I were stuck on a desert island and could choose the person with whom I had to spend the rest of my life I would want someone who is well educated and intelligent. Is that so wrong? As for your cheap jibe about people with Down's Syndrome or any other similar condition, I'll take that for what it is, a cheap jibe that says more about you than me.

My post was a little dig at Sicknote as he seems to have become known. You seem to be getting rather animated and I certainly wouldn't want to spend five minutes with you anywhere if this is how you react. Cool down for God's sake!

I have to go now, I have someone waiting to pay me £250 an hour for the benefit of my tiny and unintelligent little brain.

Have you a lot of people dumb enough and willing to pay to listen to what you have to offer with your tiny unintelligent little brain? *-)

You get caught out and Donna put you well and truly in your place, so you then decide to deflect your c..k up on me. OK I can handle it.Oh is Sicknote me and to think I thought you were all talking about someone else. ummh I’m sure you would like to spend more than five minutes with me; as I am a very interesting person with a good sense of humour and a wealth of knowledge, oh and most of all very modest.I think the £250 an hour for the benefit of my tiny and unintelligent little brain is stretching fairy tales a bit too far.. :D

Dave you naughty boy, do you not know that it is the law for a lady to talk much more than you men. :D

I had my suspicions that the law favoured the female species. Alimony. pension stealing. etc. etc so a law for talking to much must be reasonable compared to the others. When she starts I listen intensely until I fall asleep, then she wakes me up and says, "you weren't listening were you?" to which I reply, "Yes darling, every single word." This is when she tries to trick me by asking "well what did I say"

This is where I triumph because in her first sentence she has told me the full story, and I was awake then, the other three chapters are a variation on the same theme. :D :D
