Camp sites near bus stop

We are looking for a campsite open in December in the Chesterfield/Nottingham area.

As my wife can't walk far we want a site with a bus stop at or very near to the site.

.....that covers rather a large area; it might be better to be more specific on where you want to get the bus to.

 

The CC site at Poolsbrook Country Park is open then, and is convenient for Chesterfield (if less so for Nottingham). The bus is likely to be a short walk, however, rather than next to the site.

 

If you want to visit both Nottingham and Chesterfield, and are a member of the C&CC, then the following (which now has hardstandings despite the picture, and flags itself as all year) has (AFAIR) a bus stop virtually outside the gates for Mansfield (onward travel to both Nottingham and Chesterfield by express bus changing at the bus station).

Teversal C&CC site is open all year and has bus stop 300yds away takes you to Chesterfield in one direction and Sutton in Ashfield in the other. Beautiful site with the best loo block I've ever seen.

Have you tried using the campsite finder on this here website... Link to OAL Campsite Finder?

 

There are over 200 sites listed in the East Midlands and one of the items on the 'features' tab is "Bus service nearby".
