Stargeezer
I reckon this (Hideyhood 90) would make a great on-site bike shed but not sure how best to fit it. it's Ok with a couple of those big click on sucker cups, but I would like to fit it like an awning using a "C" rail. I can find the double edged kador, but can't find the single side/end version I need. "They" make it as it's fitted to my drive away awning , but don't know what it's called so can't source it. Can anyone help please?
pepe63xnotuse
Hi.. Like yourself, I've used it in the past..but when looking around for some not so long back(to make a small, slid-in tarp canopy) for some reason I couldn't find any either.... When I do get around to it, if I still can't find any, I'll just buy the double-ended stuff and Stanley-knife off the one bead..
Stargeezer
Ahh, yes, the simplest (most obvious) solutions are usually the best. Thanks
Keithl
Something like this... Link ? Keith. PS I had to Google what a Hidey Hood 90 was :$
Stargeezer
Yes exactly like that... "Channel protector" I would never in a million years have looked for that. Thanks Keithl
pepe63xnotuse
Unfortunately that's pvc, and not the "sew-able", webbing-like tape that is usually used on awnings etc... ..How are you going to "attach" it..? :-S However you do it, if it works, give us a nod... ;-) (.I toyed with glueing (and perhaps also riveting?) it but didn't got 'round to trying it)
Stargeezer
DOH! Didn't spot that
pepe63xnotuse
This looks "sew-able"..? (and only £2.50 a mtr), although I wouldn't expect it to be as strong as the webbing that is actually intended to attach awnings/tarps.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARAVAN-AWNING-SKIRT-PIPING-METRE-BLACK-STREAKS/201376824515?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D793e6a595d3f4044953252d354f3d9ce%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D201145179007 (apologies for the l-o-n-g link... :$ )
