Lizzie
How much does a folded up bike rack add on to a van's length? We may have found storage but the van will have to be under 22ft. We have seen a rapido which apparently has dimensions of 20.401 feet. Would we have enough space to add a bike rack and stay within the 22ft limit? Does anyone have any idea? My FOLDED Fiamma bike rack adds about 10 inches to the vans length. ;-)
tonyg3nwl
Hi, just measured our rack on back of Stargazer, rack minimum of 12 inches behind the flat part of rear panel When folded hope this helps..it is a fiamma rack. tonyg3nwl
Keithl
You only have to undo 2 nuts and bolts to take it off so added length is not an issue. I always take mine off when at home to save it from 'weathering'. Keith.
Lizzie
thanks everyone for your help. I didn't realise it was so easy to take off. That could give us another bit of length in the van. We have been searching for storage before buying our first van and possibly have something now.
