Any member fitted or had one fitted to the habitation entrance..which make to buy.which is the strongest.gratefull for your replies

 

Its not the strength of the handle you need to worry about. Its the strength of what you are fastening it to.

They also advertise the fact that the MH is unoccupied as you would never lock one when in residence. Without one potential thieves would not know if anyone was inside or not.

 

And agree that they are only as strong as the structure they are fixed to. Also they could be a royal pain to fix if, say, the fridge or cupboards where in the way.

 

Finally I personally don't like the idea of any more holes than absolutely necessary being drilled in our MH so consequently will never fit one. Just my view!

The handles most widely available are Fiamma- or Milenco-branded.

 

For any realistic anti-theft capability there will need to be a locking attachment on the door itself (example here)

A handle that merely folds across the door but does not lock to it may be fine to assist access, but it offers a huge amount of leverage when the locking mechanism is just built into a hinge. Thieves generally aren’t wimps and they will have few qualms about causing expensive damage.
