Ive been to the Calais Jungle, does that count? Im not sure many of us can probably claim to have been out to places like Syria or Afghanistan in recent times unless your in the armed forces or an aid worker but that does not mean your not qualified to have an opinion on the subject.

It just means your opinion is based on UK based Loony Liberal Twendy Wendy's having hissy fits *-) .......

Much like Bullets >:-) .......

My opinions are influenced from a wide array of sources Dave. The Daily Mail though isnt one of them, or the only one.

So you'd be happy to let this lot in? ;-) .........

See my answer on the other thread. They are traffickers by the sound of it not refugees.

...and there's the rub, identifying the true refugee from the criminal or the economic migrant etc etc.  Not so simple is it?  Hence the degree of difficulty in dealing with the problem.

Nope. Its not that easy which is why its also not right to assume they are all chancers or gun toting smugglers, traffickers. Its why we need a solution to take these dangerous people out of the mix. Whenever there is people in trouble there will always be people like them to exploit and take advantage of them.

I fully agree but....always a BUT......these people don't exactly have a placard around their neck or a tattoo on their forehead saying 'chancer/gun toting criminal/pseudo refugee' etc etc.  What you are saying is part of my drive to differentiate between genuine refugees and other sections of the mass of people 'on the move'.  You say you've been to the Calais Jungle......did you bother checking/asking how many had destroyed their passports or other forms of identity?  True refugees have no need to do this but those who are 'chancers' etc do so because without ID the authorities can not return them to their native country, simply because they can not be certain where that is.

A possible solution is to have the EU stand up to it's responsibilities and stop 'all' of these people from entering the EU.....use fences, patrols, whatever is needed to secure the border.  Anyone arriving by boat, if it can be determined where it left from should be returned in short time to the departure country.  If this was put in place and the bleeding hearts liberals let the system work for a while word would soon get back that no one other than genuine refugees (with papers) was getting in.  Then, possibly, just possibly the people smugglers would have no one to smuggle, chancers would not bother and the numbers 'might' just drop to a level that can be handled effectively and 'true refugees' given the help and assistance they need and deserve.

The problem with that is many dont have passports to start with or they also consider taking documentation of country of origin dangerous as they pass through some pretty dangerous places. You cant just send them back to places like Libya either as firstly they wont have them back and even if you do manage to return them they are more than likely to end up dead or worse! We have discussed this many times and I still dont know what the answers are apart from helping neighbouring "friendly ish" countries as much as possible to deter as many as possible attempting to get to Europe.

The answer is to lock any who manage to enter illegal until they agree to return home :-| .........

Not give them 78k for 18 months extra free board and lodging >:-( .......

  • 1 month later...
Looks like 4 months after the election the main parties have managed to scrape together a coalition in a desperate attempt to not have another election because of the rise of anti-immigration party AFD ... She's had to cap her much loved open door policy though ... Those lucky Germans
