John52
It reminded me of a complaint to the Chairman of BP about the price of petrol in England. His reply was you have got the cheapest petrol in Europe - before tax. And the most expensive petrol in Europe - after tax. So any complaints about the price of petrol should bed addressed to Mr Gordon Brown (Chancellor of the Exchequer) Fuel taxes are set by politicians for political reasons. For instance fuel taxes are much lower in tax havens like Gibraltar than mainland UK. So IHow can you can have an informed discussion about fuel taxes without involving politics? John52
as far as I can see if you don't want to discuss the reasons for the difference all you can do is post a link to fuel prices eg https://www.racfoundation.org/data/european-petrol-prices and leave it at that :-S
