DWP is the same as the benefit agency *-) ...........

An 'agency employee' suggests an agency worker answerable to the agency who set them on. The DWP is an official body employing full time staff and overseen by UK government.

Knit picking *-) ........

No it was sent out by a right wing nut job the extremists of a very nasty right wing government deem to be appropriate. One day i hope you might get a taste of it yourself, or close family member......and then you'd view matters very differently.

Currently you're only proving how nasty you left wing nut jobs are :D ...........

Citation needed yet again. *-)

You previously implied that Corbyn would "do a deal" if it got him into No10. I showed (courtesy of the link you posted but never read *-)) where he wouldn't. So now you're trying another angle which contradicts what you initially said!! *-)

I guess we'll have to wait until the next election and see if its another hung Parliament, and Corbyn get's enough to form a minority government with the SNP to see if he sticks to his word ;-) ........

Fancy a bet? >:-) ..........

Still wriggling. *-)

1) You post a link and claim Corbyn would hop into bed with the SNP to get to Downing St.

2} Typically you don't READ your own link before posting it. *-)

3) The article you linked states unequivocally that Jeremy Corbyn had "absolutely 100% refuted any prospect" of any deal or pact with the SNP.

4) You blunder onward by then attempting to backtrack only to contradict yourself.

5) You're known as the Mad Hatter for good reason. *-)

And you think that's 'nasty'? I seriously meant it. To have the boot on the other foot would give you the serious jolt and wake up call you need and you'd see matters in a very different light. Wouldn't be advisable to come whining on here about it though as you'd get no sympathy from anyone.

Am having my annual pilgrimage to Blackpool, and am reminded of pelmetman every time I pass the Mad Hatter's Tea Party figures on the seafront (lol)

But when I've had enough of the commercialisation I go down to Lytham St Annes. Passing the windmill on Lytham Green reminds me of something serious. A century ago, a small boy on a day trip from Manchester saw the windmill for the first time, and grabbed one of the sails as it went round. It took him up till he could cling on no more and he fell to his death.

A reminder of how quickly our lives can change. As Corbyn said, we are all only a car accident away from being disabled for life. Lets hope there is still a financial safety net for those who are.

<<< Just "hypocritical" of those who complain about the rich doing it >>>

Hi,

What is the adjective to describe someone who is worth £3,000,000, has an income if £137,000pa, and it on anti-depressants due to the strain of looking after his wife, who has a mental illness, and is being let down by the NHS. Surely that is adding to the drain on NHS funds, and adding to the waiting list to see a consultant ... while at the same time hoping to be offered an even more stressful job?

Hypocritical does not fit the bill. Dogmatic? Bloody -minded? Cruel?

hi,

There are currently 751 MEPs. 73 of them represent the UK. After BREXIT, there will be 705MEP.

Germany + France + Italy + Spain will have more MEPS. that all the other states put together,

Germany + France + Italy + Poland + Anybody will have more MEPs than all the other states put together.

But it won't be my problem.

for 27 countries - all of whom are elected

Wheras the House of Lords has about 800, all of whom are unelected.

Why don' they want to look at that?

How can Brexiteers say the EU is beuracratic and undemocratic whilst keeping a straight face?

Hi John 52,

There are 751 MEPs for 28 countries. That will drop to 705 MEPs when 73 British MEPs lose their seats. Go figure!

Whatever, I partly share your feelings about the way that Their Lordships are selected. Hereditary peers I can live with, it's a British thing, and one assumes they are well educated, and patriotic ... and will eventually die out.

My Social Studies tutor suggested that the PM could flood the Lords with new members who would have already agreed to vote to get rid of the House of Lords. But IF we need a Second House, how would you choose who fills it?

I suggest that if this subject is worthy of discussion, it shoukd be moved to a new title.

Hang on ... could we get the Commons to pass a law saying that the Lords should be forced to give up some of their estate to be used for aires ... seeing as taking the campers and caravans abroard after Brexit might be complicated. Or might not, so hit them while it is in doubt.
