In the 2014 European Parliament elections UKIP + smaller Brexit parties (BNP, An Independence from Europe) had 29.1% of the vote, the Conservatives 23.1%. The key issue in these elections is whether UKIP + Brexit Party exceeds 29%, but bearing in mind many Conservatives are openly backing the Brexit Party, it may be more appropriate to look at Ukip + Brexit Party + Conservatives: if their total % fell below the 52.2% they had in 2014, it could be taken as a sign that support for Remain and centre-left politics is strengthening.
