The trouble is for the rabid Brexit cult Tory members is that Boris is not that popular in the Tory party and they only get to vote on the two that get put up by the rest of the party so Boris might not even get there. I bet it ends up being Gove.

If Boris does end up as PM it could end up collapsing the Tory party if its not already broken by then, its almost broken now!

Boris as PM though. FFS! You couldnt make it up.

Incorrect......Boris is very popular with the grassroots ;-) ..........

It's the Tory Remoaner MP's that don't like him :-| ..........

But most of them are on a sticky wicket with their local Tory members like Doominic >:-) ..........

So I guess it'll come down to whether they want to keep their jobs or sacrifice themselves to a lost cause? :D ................

Thats what I said FFS! You rabid Brexit cultists that joined the Tories to elect some Brexit war lord are all for him but in order for you to get to vote for him his own party of MPs have to get him on the ballot paper along with one other and they all think he's a Wamker. They are at least right on that score.

So Tory MP's will have to decide whether they want to save the Tory party by electing Boris.......Or hand over the Tory party to Farage? ;-) ...........

Kinda win win for us Brexiteers I'd say :D ..........

The Tories are probably finished now full stop. Mays deal will fail and that will be the end of that which just leaves no deal or revoke as they still refuse to give the people a vote. How will electing Boris save them? Parliament were not going to let May end up with No deal so Boris will face the same problem. If it ends up as no deal they are finished as a party, if they have to revoke they are finished. The Brexit party standing if there is an election will just split the Tory vote and hand the keys to a Corbyn led coalition.

Nothing can save them now I reckon and especially not Boris.

Au contraire ;-) .................Boris "is" the only one who can save them :D ..........

Why do you think The Brexit Party is so far in front in the EU election polls?..........

Because WE HAVEN'T CHANGED OUR MINDS B-) ............

Some wont be happy Pat until we have our own little Mini me Trump puppet. Its like half the country just formed a Kamikaze suicide pact just to prove a point and get one over on the silly wet liberal remoaners. I would like to say that the majority of the British people would have the sense to see through the likes of Boris and Farage but then I never thought Trump had a cat in hells chance of getting into the White house.

Its just a pity that as part of their far right wing coup they insisted on dumping Freedom of movement as if they are successful I think I would gladly just leave the UK and never look back.

The mans a charlatan and not worthy of holding high office. His blundering comments as Foreign Secretary in the HoC increased the sentence of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.

We're already the laughing stock of the world which looks on with utter disbelief at the lunatics hell bent on destroying the country. Johnson is a loose cannon.....i wouldn't trust him to stack a supermarket shelf.

You Brexiteers pinning your hopes on Boris need to cast your mind back three years. He is not a "real" Brexiteer. Remember he penned two letters One in support of leaving and one in support of remaining. He only decided to back the Brexit horse at the 11th hour,

The only thing Boris is interested in is what is best for Boris. If he does become PM and If he thinks a second referendum is a better option for him than having to hold a general election that is exactly what he will do. He wont dare run the clock down.

Even the Express has latched onto that.

So if Boris gets in who do you think he will put first? Himself, so he wont just dare run the clock down and do nothing. The Tories will be in tatters by then, Labour will call another no confidence vote and this time there will be enough Tories that will vote to bring their own government down. He will either have to call a GE or another referendum. He might see the former as too risky after just a few weeks in the job he has been after all his life.

The way I see it is that Klingon May will be forced to give a date for departure prolly in June.......the de facto leadership battle will become official........It'll be a month at least of campaigning before WE MEMBERS get to decide to choose Boris in July/August :D ..............

So Boris is unlikely to get the keys to No 10 until August/September ;-) ........

Naturally being a Brexiteer he will have to go to Brussel's to demand a better deal prolly late October >:-) .....

He might even as a fop the whinging Remoaner brigade ask for an extension 8-) .......

Macron will say F*ck Off! (lol) (lol) (lol) .........

So we leave with No Deal and its Macrons fault B-) .........

I wonder if your Boris! Boris! Boris! thread will come back to haunt you like your support for "The Sainted Theresa" did. Here is a tip. Do not believe anything that comes out of Boris's mouth. Not one word of it. If he had any sense he would keep his trap shut as he wont end up on the ballot. Sadly he's not very good at that.

You forget in a Democracy ;-) ........

When it comes to politicians they're disposable if they are no longer carrying out the will of the people.......As Mrs May recently discovered >:-) ........

Boris & Farage know that B-) .......

If you favour Johnson as Prime Minister, can you say what from his past record makes you believe he will be effective in the highest political position in the land?

You have failed to name anything from his past record that makes you believe he will be effective in the highest political position in the land, we can all conclude that there isn't anything, unless of course you'd like to identify something?

I am actually starting to wonder if Boris might be the remainers best chance of another referendum. I am pretty sure Raab C Brexit and Loathsome wont call one as they are real Brexiteers. Gove probably wont but might settle for something similar to Mays deal but Boris might. When he hits the same brick wall despite his bold stance of being prepared to walk away he wont want to be the PM who crashes us out with nothing as he will want to hang on to the job he has fought his entire life to get. He will weigh up the options of which one is less likely to shaft him. He will know that there is no real mandate for a no deal as there is no majority for it. I think as a result he will go back to the people with no deal vs remain.

You read it here first.
