david lloyd
The Sergent control panels we have used in the past have been notoriously inaccurate with regard to fresh/waste water levels indication but ours is showing a battery level capacity lower than that I would expect to see. I had to change the battery capacity in settings from 110ah to 105ah as that is what was fitted and initially thought this may be the reason it does not go over 90% capacity despite being on charge for over two weeks. An 80w solar panel is also fitted wired through the panel's Smart system. Is this likely to be a problem with the accuracy of the control panel or possibly the battery is actually sitting at 90% capacity? David

buddy
I do not know if it will help,, but when you go to the Sargent Electrical website and look at support section, under FAQ, there is information regarding this matter for the EC500 PSU unit. david lloyd
OK, just to clarify any confusion I created the PSU is indeed an EC500 but the control panel is an EC428. Back in the settings menu where I changed the battery capacity from 110ah to 105ah there is another setting further on that allows the starting capacity to be set - mine was set at 90% so I changed this to 100% now that the battery is fully charged.
