Brexit Blighty on the up.........

Although you are right about one thing. It has happened where the local Victor Meldrew neighbourhood watch guy has been on the phone to the rozzers about my van parked it the street. :D

They come out thinking I was out on a burglary :D

But have always been fine as soon as I open the door and see its a motorhome.

I play them at their own game - I'm just obeying the law officer - car parks state park within a marked bay, no sleeping in vehicles etc etc. *-)

One copper told me flat out 'I couldn't care less where you park - parking enforcement is the council's job and they are not working tonight' :D

So I moved to the car park, but didn't sleep as well as on the street because of the wind coming straight off the sea buffeting the van about.

So it's useless abroad ;-) .........

.......

Is there any logic behind your assumption *-)

Doesnt listen does he? Thats why he never learns anything. *-)

His days of El Cheapo dongling are over anyway since he voted to end his own FoM. No more pretending to be a "resident" for six months in an EU country. (lol)

Depends which country you are in, what kit you have and how much of a techno numpty you are. I paid for most of my trips (some of which were six months long) by doing odd bits of remote work. I always found wifi. Best one ever was doing some remote support with my feet in Lake Maggiore sat with a cocktail. Couple of hours work, send an invoice, job done.

Of course it became a whole lot easier once the roaming charges went thanks to the EU. If I couldnt get wifi I simply turned on my hot spot on my phone and cracked on using my UK data allowance. That really was an improvement as I am with Vodafone and it just finds the provider with the best signal and pretty much works all over Europe. No need to fanny on buying local sims or worrying about finding a wifi signal in the middle of nowhere. Not only that, I didnt need to worry about racking up loads of bills for calls (received and made) For anyone that tours around long term, losing the roaming charges was a massive help.
