chas
My 05 boxer has a 2 litre engine with a tax of £270 a year. Out of curiosity if I were to purchase a new up to date Euro specification 2 litre motorhome what would the road tax be on that. Frankly I dont intend to, but considering the now high cost of motorhomes in general just wondered what the saving would be per year for road tax. Keithl
I believe if it was correctly registered as an under 3,500 kg PLG (Tax Class 11) then it would still be £270. Keith.
Derek Uzzell
This link advises on the present motorhome-related VED position https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vehicle-excise-duty-rates-for-motorhomes-from-12-march-2020/vehicle-excise-duty-rates-for-motorhomes As Keith has said - at least until 1 April 2021 - a new motorhome with a specification that currently produces an annual VED charge of £270 (Private/Light Goods VED class) will continue to attract the £270 rate.
