Psst ;-) ...........I bet the toll will be cheaper than the ferry costs (lol) (lol) (lol) .........

Do you think we will give you LOSERS a discount on your toll because you paid for our tunnel

(lol) (lol) (lol) .....

Who's economy do you think will suffer if they make it to expensive to bring stuff into the UK? ;-) .......

Irelands >:-) ...........

Ireland will have all the trade it needs with the EU

How are your trade deals coming along *-)

.. and Ireland's trade with Scotland of course, through the tunnel you LOSERs paid for to maintain BoJo's empire at your expense.

Doubt if we will be bothered about trading with you as we will have free trade with the EU, and you'll have no more credit left by the time BoJo has finished :-S

Well the Scottish people had a lot of help from the mountainous terrain which greatly favoured the defenders.

Even the border country is very difficult...

...

... Like Switzerland - Hitler left it because of its mountains.

I don't think Hitler didn't invade Switzerland because of the mountains.

Most likely for the money the Germans had in their banks.

As for the orography of Scotland and the Romans, keep in mind that Ben Nevis is as high as the lower Prealps or the Vosges which were conquered a hundred years earlier.

More likely, the Romans stop because they considered that Scotland was not worth the effort of a war of attrition being at that time not very interesting from an economic point of view.

They didn't like the porridge.

The Scots or the Romans ?

I don't know the Picts, for sure the Romans left Great Britain immediately after tasting it.

But not before making Queen Boudica do the end she deserved for offering it.

Max

p.s. Ever read Asterix's comics with comments on your food ?

Ouch

"But the Tory MP in charge of the Northern Ireland select committee has criticised the plans, joking that it could be pulled by an "inexhaustible herd of unicorns". A PushmePullYou could be the senior guard and Puff the Magic Dragon the inspector. "Let's concentrate on making the protocol work and put the hallucinogenics down". He added: "Also another ''minor hurdle'' is the NI railway gauge is an ''all Ireland'' gauge which is different to that used in GB. I'm not Brunel but I think this might be a bit of a problem."

Simon Hoare tweeted: "The trains could be pulled by an inexhaustible herd of Unicorns overseen by stern, officious dodos.
