Lets not also forget that certain key items like fuel / energy has rocketed way above inflation which as we know is way higher than the average wage increases despite Pelmet trying to convince us otherwise. Its set to get a lot worse come April as well I gather. No doubt the extra red tape we will now experience on Jan 1 due to Brexit will add to that.

Pelmet himself bragged for reasons only know to him how much his Euro building supplies had gone up in price just recently. Go figure. 8-)

It should also be remembered that no doubt the people who will be effected the most by this will be Brexit and new baby Tory voters. Oh dear.

Yes......Lets not forget ;-) ..........

"the fact that our grand total of deaths far exceeds Europe and most other countries"

Perhaps you can back that claim up with some FACTS? >:-) .......

Worra Twerp (lol) (lol) (lol) .........

Just what part of this sentence do you not understand?

"The RPI is not a revisable index"

You need to keep up sunshine :D .........

And? RPI is with us until 2030 as your link states.

In this thread quoted CPI and RPI rates, I then stated that the RPI is not a revisable index, nor is the CPI, normally revisable, the exception being during the lockdowns of the pandemic when certain things weren't available, although I note that the amount of change was 0.07%.

I note by the way that your link states that the beneficiary of the removal of RPI in ten years time benefits the government and penalises savers - another sneaky tax from your government.

Nope. I and a lot of other pensioners who have commercial property in their SIPPS will have leases with rent reviews linked to RPI, which is one of the reasons why it will remain relevant and produced. The only reason the government wants to do away with it as its embarrassing to them.

P.S you still haven't got any windows.

Why would I?

1. You're known to renege on your bets when you lose.

2. Technically we are both right, you said that the ONS "Which are usualy revised months later.......Because they're guesstimates" implying that all the figures the ONS produce are revised, I've demonstrated that RPI is never revised and CPI has been revised during the lockdown.

None of this alters the fact that you haven't got any windows.
