Taksi
Hi guys. 2009 Autotrail Apache 2.3. I've just replaced the throttle control unit as i had the P0638 code continuously coming up. My issue is with the electronic EGR solenoid vacuum pipes. Top two are ok but there's nothing at the bottom one. Is there supposed to be a vacuum hose here or not? colin
Is this the one in centre of engine bay just below scuttle? If so there's a pipe going to it and a pipe from it to EGR valve. I would note that I had problems which where said by Fiat garage to be this and throttle, turned out to be mice in the inlet tract.
MikeF
There are 3 ports on the electro valve, input vacuum, atmosphere, variable vacuum output to EGR valve. The throttle body and EGR ' play together ', so any issue with the throttle body can cause the electro valve to work overtime and partially fails, so worth replacing if in any doubt regarding performance.
