  1. As one of the 'fault 6' is replace harness, it makes sense to do this with all connection's, on our Combi4 a fault showed and it was a bad connection which wiggling the joint solved, seems a common fault.
  2. I have seen this mentioned years ago, my answer is to call a known number such as a friend to 'clear' the line, then call the bank. It shouldn't still happen as changes where made some years back. Phone scam protection move by BT tackles 'no hang up' fraudsters | York Press
  3. I started to reply to your earlier post, but then wasn't sure if you meant all traffic info, or just Trafficmaster TMC. Our TomTom gives pretty accurate traffic info, I've ignored it a few times at my cost. The biggest problem seems to be that it can detect a jam further down route but obviously can't predict how it will change by the time we get there, depending on route I may take offered alternatives as soon as they come up, or leave it until we get closer and see if jam clears. Overall I see it as a major benefit of satnav.
  4. All part of the scam, if you are wised up and suspicious of price and spelling you will probally not give a deposit, if however you are after a bargain and ignoring mistakes in listing you are likely to be more gullible.
  5. There are specific regulations as to what containers fuel can be put in, for plastic this is 10litres, for metal 20litres.
  6. She was doing her job correctly, you might not have noticed this before, but employees are usually required to check, this is done either through the window or via cameras.
  7. A friend in Suffolk got dropped off at work 15mins from her home, when her husband went to pick her up took him 2 1/2 hours to find a way through!
  8. I've used vans with roof vents over bed for 35years, never had one leak, so for me the benefits vastly outweigh any perceived problems.
  9. Can I buy a ticket on the door? Tickets must be purchased online in advance of the Show. Tickets will not be sold on the gate, please do not travel to the Show without a valid ticket
  10. Condensation, the killer of vans and houses, the answer is ventilation, that's why it's a good idea to have a vent with permanent ventilation such as we have.
  11. In decades of using motorhomes I've never had a roof vent leak, I do however get told off for splashing water out the sink.
  12. That's odd, most EV's are single speed, and a few are two speed. I do know most Stellantis EV's are based on a universal chassis.
  13. Well I agree 100% with him, I've seen the same sink layout on Globecar's years ago and decided it needed a splashguard, the roof vent above bed we wouldn't be without. Personally I think on small vans such as this the shower in the corridor similar to ours, and used in Elegance R Prime, would be a better idea than a sliding wall.
  14. ABS light not illuminating when starting is classed as a major defect, if the MOT inspector noticed this it should be a fail.
  15. I take it as parking for days out in towns and places of interest, not overnighting which I think MMM steer clear of. As I recall Graham set up a website for council (maybe other commercial?) parking, I think this is now 'park my motorhome'. It will take some resources to set up and stay up to date.
  16. This appears to be for car parks, and being 'motorhome friendly' doesn't always mean they would be overwhelmed. Take Ceredigion council car parks, they have a policy of banning motorhomes from most of the car parks, and charging extortionate rates for the rest, this is not obvious at first from their website, but turn up at a car park which says it takes 'cars, vans, and motorcycles', and you will find motorcaravans are banned, turn up at one that says it takes motorcaravans and you will find the minimum charge as £9.
  17. Using a voltage meter you can determine the voltage drop by contacting across(say) the neg pole of battery and engine/gearbox whilst cranking engine, or the pos pole and starter terminal. This will determine if any cables or connections are causing a problem.
  18. Your first checks should be for voltage drops on the starter circuit.

    New tyres

What I will admit to is making a stupid mistake in having 'all season' tyres on one axle, and summer tyres on other axle whilst driving on snow. To help make the journey I had to select FWD so that the rear wheels weren't 'pushing' the fronts, locking the diff made it worse.

    New tyres

I fitted CrossClimate tyres to the rear of one of my 4x4's, leaving the front with summer tyres, it was a mistake I will never do again, first time out in snow and the imbalance in grip was a nightmare, fitting them in reverse I would expect to be even worse.
  22. Firstly, owning a motorhome is a lifestyle choice, and that includes those who choose to live in one (I know several people very well who choose this lifestyle). Secondly the size and type of motorhome is another lifestyle choice, from a small VW Caddy size, right up to a 'millionaire', behemoth.
  23. Owning a motorhome, and the size of that motorhome is a lifestyle choice, just the same as a person might choose a Ferrari.
  24. As Brian didn't like the lane assist I'd guess a MG4.
