The RCoA are experts in the use of anesthetics in medicine ;-) ...............

They are not as they admitted in their email (Quoted below), experts in the use of carbon monoxide as a means to rob *-)

...........

"Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, which is a poison, and is never used in anaesthetic practice. The RCoA statement refers specifically to actual or potential anaesthetic agents:"

By only referring to the expertise, or otherwise, of the RCoA you are avoiding my question.

The police have access to loads of forensic experts, 'gas experts' - and any other kind of expert they need but - as far as I have read - have not produced any firm evidence of the kind of gas being used or how it is administered, either in motorhomes or Buttons villa.

I am keeping an open mind on the subject - not being an expert on anything relevant myself - but I just don't understand the apparent lack of progress / interest shown by the authourities in resolving the ' mystery '

:-|

Its not up to me to prove anything, I'm not claiming to being a victim of gassing ;-) ...........

As for lack of progress, I'd of thought it was down to the fact that no one has died yet, and priorities :-| .......

When you consider our own Plod can only be bothered to investigate burglaries on houses with even numbers *-) ...............

Maybe the Buttons were staying at a odd number house :D .......

I'm not suggesting for one moment that YOU should prove anything - I'm just surprised that after so many years of these stories, no one else has proved anything.

Of course, up to now, no one of ' importance ' has been targetted - now that a ' celeb ' has been a victim someone might decide to investigate .

( ...but I'm not counting on it ).

Hope it's sorted soon as I find it very uncomfortable sleeping with a gas mask on when I go to France.

;-)

What have I told you about reading the daily fail *-)

Yes I know they put that as the headline, but you need to read further to find the truth.

When Dave Cameron finds out I've no doubt he'll reduce taxes for those people living at odd numbers.

( p.s. . .......do you know if they still fine drivers exceeding the speed limit in odd numbered cars ? )

Yes it's sad to see that since being taken over by the 'Brecqhou brotherhood', standards have slipped so far.

The facts are that police guidelines where that all burglaries should have been investigated, and that for attempted burglaries a forensic team should attend at even numbers and at odd numbers a police officer should attend and decide if there was further evidence to be followed up by the forensic team.

With that level of distortion applied to their reporting in pursuit of a good story, its surprising the police haven't charged them with fraud - for calling themselves newspapers! :-D

No...... I'm claiming the victims might know more about the incident than the skeptics, including those in the press, although it would be nice if they said who their sources source of information was ;-).........

"A source close to the McLaren driver told The Sun: ‘Police have told Jenson they’re convinced the burglars gassed the house using the air conditioning units.

‘Over the past five years, it’s becoming an increasingly common way for top criminals to launch raids on expensive properties in the area without being disturbed.

‘Jenson is convinced that’s what happened too. The burglars were in the same room as him and Jessica, rifling through all their drawers.

‘But they weren’t disturbed at all because the effects of the gas gives the burglars free reign.

‘It was the same for their three other friends — they were all completely out of it.’"

"...the deputy prosecutor of the city of Draguignan, Philippe Guemas, said nothing had yet been proven.

"For now, there is no proof [gas was used]. This is based solely on their personal conviction as they had stomach aches when they woke up," he said.

Even one of the more popular "sources" for some on this forum, appears to be back-tracking from it's earlier "....GASSED...." headlines.........

Stomach aches when they woke up, we'll of course it wasn't a heavy night on the booze, followed by a dodgy curry, and maybe a line of coke that got them all, they were gassed........ farcical doesn't come close does it,.

As for being in the same room as them, that's exactly how cat burglars operate which I thought was common knowledge except for one certain poster on here, unless simply not wanting to acknowledge the possibility as there would be no further mileage in carrying this on.

Yes your right, just the same as they keep the lid on reporting every other kind of crime in tourist hotspots, odd then that the massacre in Tunisia, trains being bombed in Spain, and gun totting nutters slaughtering people in Paris, and our home grown nutters blowing up the underground slipped through the net eh ?

The first report on this that I read, the day after, in the Guardian or on the BBC, can't remember which, had their main quotes coming from a man whose company specialised in fitting gas detectors and deterrents in luxury villas! Free advertising or what?

It is surely clear to everyone that it is not possible to aneasthatise someone by filling a leaky motorhome or even worse house, with aneasthetic without a high likelihood that it either won't work, on the one hand or it will kill the occupants on the other (which I don't think has ever been reported). The amount of aneasthetic needed would be huge (how do they get it discreetly to the property or motorhome), extremely difficult to obtain in small quantities, let alone on an industrial scale and extraordinarily expensive, which may be justified by Jenson Button, but not Joe Bloggs in his motorhome.

Well we were gassed in our motorhome, and robbed,

but unfortunately for the thieves as we neither carry large amounts of cash, or any valuables to speak of they only got away with a Nectar card, a £20 pay as you go phone with no credit left, and six pairs of my underpants, no doubt mistaking them for designer gear. ;-)

How do you know you were gassed?

Same as Button, we were both out of it, and woke up with stomach ache :D

There was an interview on radio five about this with an anaesthetist who said he wished he had met these thieves before he went to university and studied for his degree as it would have saved him, the tax payer and the NHS an awful lot of time and money buying the necessary specialist equipment to carry out these procedure's years later after his training. The NHS could have just given Micky the fence or 'Fingers Malone the nod and asked them to pop round for five minuets. :D :D :D Great entertainment though, keep it coming!
