Keithl
Copied from Monique's almost identically titled post in Chatterbox... monique.hubrechts@gm - 2017-02-17 4:53 PM In case of a fiat ducato connection that will be very difficult to understand. If you have a standard fiat van the upper level of the chassis is equal to the cabin floor just one horizontal line. Al-Ko high frame is the same. There are drops of 144 mm for fiat camping chassis and alko to make an interface for the builders to choose either fiat or alko. at the same level. Than you have the low drop of alko of 220 mm, All have reference to basic line of the seat structure. The alko axle block of tr 144 and 220 is the same but not in their right height settings and shock absorb-er travel. Their famous "X" settings depending on the axle loads being their basic setting of the torsion bars A high frame alko chassis is higher in frame but not his axle and axle middle point of the swing arms they sit at the same level as the 220 low frame. Only the gravity point is lower. Adria sonic supreme makes a unique design out of a alko high-frame and still called double floor. The average sway of ducato chassis or alko was noticeable when driving in our club for long distances together. monique.hubrechtsgm
Yes they did not upload. To upload some kilo bytes on this website is a problem. However it is the most famous one i did on my Al-Ko study. Being their AMC chassis. It seems to be a wall flower chassis for motor home builders. But it is gaining popularity. Why? Your skirts are up and underneath you have the unused lower interface block who acts like a supporting feet where you can attach steel cables to prevent falling a side when one side of your motor at the rear wide track axle enters soft grounds. monique.hubrechtsgm
Alko in Australia motor homes use the high frame as standard. In case of two rear axle single wheel you must have alko x2 air suspension by law. Why? *-)
