Didn't take long to go from Hate on The Street to POTUS Sir Donald Trump ...

You are addressing him incorrectly Antony. That's quite insulting coming from an admirer.

Oh you mean those hate crimes that don't actually need any proof that they happened? *-) .......

http://www.civitas.org.uk/content/files/hatecrimethefactsbehindtheheadlines.pdf

Civitas is a right wing political 'think tank' well known for opposing immigration sending out insidious leaflets such as "Do We Need Mass Immigration?" and "Tomorrow is Another Country: What is wrong with the UK's asylum policy?" Dr David Coleman, adviser to the anti-immigration Migration Watch also writes for them so it's pretty clear to see this is not a reliable source at all. Registered as a charity for tax reasons it's unusually secretive about it's individual funders.

It's what Roger would undoubtedly term biased and i'd agree. Personally i'd sooner take staistics from the ONS or senior Police specialising in documenting hate crimes who effectively are our 'front line troops' dealing with this criminality on a daily basis, in preference to a right wing political group which cites Twitter and Facebook as 'sources'.

It wasn't a wise choice of link but naturally fits your agenda of hate. You should have read up more about them first.

RogerC - 2017-10-13 12:58 PMWith reference to the 'bold' above. I don't accept the comment or the implied criticism.
I'm not sure how else anyone could see it?Polish lady working as a qualified school teacher living with her family in UK since 2012 receives racial abuse and told to "go back to your own country you fu*kin' Polish cu*t". Son gets physically attacked and beaten up. So her and her husband have now decided to leave England altogether and plan to move to Scotland or back to Poland. That's just one family.......how many more? Oh, and who is going to replace her teaching post when she's gone?
There are those, you amongst them, who rail against anyone grouping Muslims together when decrying the likes of ISIS or commenting on terrorist atrocities or affording blame on any one group for the actions of a minority. Here you are doing exactly the same........so it's all right to blame 'England' for the actions of a very small minority of the population but heaven help anyone who dares focus similarly on Muslims.
That's true and yes i used the word England to define the geographical location, not the people. I think most, though not all, can distinguish the chasm of difference between the ideological nutjobs of IS and Muslims per se.
As for what Trump does or doesn't....I really don't care. However as he is a billionaire businessman I very much doubt he had any hand or interest in the hiring and firing of those employed to build his edifices so I fail to see the relevance.............smoke/mirrors?
I did say it was off thread topic but personally i felt it relevant to the point you mentioned re 'illegals'. When people in power with huge wealth indulge it, a convenient blind eye is turned and 'it's ok'. In my book it makes them a hypocrite. Yes he made good use of smoke and mirrors to blame shift and dodge his way out of it.Point still stands, it's not an offence (afaik) to be friends with an 'illegal'. It only becomes an offence if you employ them knowing they are 'illegals'.

Maybe couching your justifiable comments differently would convey the right message.......your 'Well done England' hardly reflects you are referring to the minority of scum who need to be dealt with.  It is an encompassing generalisation and is IMO comes across as an unwarranted attack on the majority of the population.

As for Trump......I agree the law should be enacted in a balanced manner.  However the USA has a completely different system of enacting the law and processing cases ergo I see no relevance to the topic re illegals in the UK.  What I would say is if employers acted in accordance with the law vis a vis background/entitlement checks and reported those found to be illegals,  and individuals were responsible enough to report illegals, friends or not, then an element of the issues facing the UK would be considerably lessened.

Really Bullet do you really want to compare agenda's? ;-) ........Coz I have the Koran to back me up >:-) ......

For example.......

"The Koran says that the Kafir may be deceived, plotted against, hated, enslaved, mocked, tortured and worse. The word is usually translated as “unbeliever” but this translation is wrong. The word “unbeliever” is logically and emotionally neutral, whereas, Kafir is the most abusive, prejudiced and hateful word in any language."

Here's another example of a Brit being offensive to a minority 8-) .........

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-4975996/RICHARD-LITTLEJOHN-Right-crusade-makes-mugs-us.html

I wonder when I can expect the Koran to be banned?.........As its offensive to us Kafirs :-| .........

There's a bit of a flaw in Richard Littlejohn's arguments about why the mugs she was selling depicting the Knights Templar were innocuous - ergo the observation that the mugs she was selling depicted an organisation involved in the crusades 700 years ago. The market trader claims that the council have confirmed that the complaint related to the fact that the Knights Templar killed Muslims during the Crusades but the council have not confirmed that those claims were true. "The Knights Templar" in their modern re-incarnation are notorious for being anti-Muslim and for issuing inflammatory statements about them.

If continuing to trade at this market mattered so much to her I do wonder why she ignored the first request that she remove them and continued to flout it. She removed other goods with Nazi symbols when asked previously to do so at the council’s request why not these? How dear to her was the principle that dictated she must be permitted to sell the mugs such that if ranked above her concern for her livelihood and why was it so dear to her? The information about other offensive stuff she sold in the past combined with the photo of her arms outstretched with what seems like a feigned incredulous expression speaks volumes in my book.

Veronica

So as a woman do you not find the Koran offensive? :-| .........

Quran (4:34) - "Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them."

This do you?

"Polish family to leave England and move to Scotland or Poland due to continual racial abuse and physical attacks post referendum so England has now lost a qualified school teacher".

Happy with that?

The only 'attack', apart from the obvious one on the Polish lady and her son, is on an element of open race hate which has been on the rise post referendum. The rise of far right extremism since this period is there for anyone to see. It's ugliness has permeated this forum. Yes they are a minority but a dangerous one, and every decent minded citizen will do their utmost to stamp it out. It's a festering boil of putrid poison which needs lancing.

Much more appropriate.  As you so often point out tarring all with the same brush is not justified.  Regards the 'youffs' and others who go to extremes both verbal and physical in order to abuse, intimidate and possibly physically and emotionally/mentally injure innocents I concur 100% is indefensible and should be dealt with, regardless of ethnicity, race, colour or creed, through the full force of the law..

Personally i wouldn't like to be either a police officer or school teacher today. I'm of the "short sharp shock" generation when schools had strong ethics of discipline and moral code. The headmaster ran my last school....very firm but very fair man. Step out of line and you got a whack. Today that's called "beating" and "physical abuse/assault". As a young 7 or 8 year old kid i got a clip round the ear from a police officer for throwing stones at big wooden advertising board in a park. I never told my parents about it until i was in my late teens.

The dross now spilling out of schools on to the state benefit system is the product of a failed social experiment with the abolition of discipline.A school Headmaster determined to turn his school around and 'crack the whip' by introducing strict discipline was vilified by the Twitterati and Mumsnetters as "a bully".

Reap what you sow springs to mind.

Caveat being not all are dross, feral brats with no moral compass....a few manage to go on to make something of themselves.

Regarding the market trader.  There's always two sides to every story or in this case likely three or more.  Who took offence, what offence was caused etc??

Regarding the Nazi images could it be she was selling Rudyard Kipling books......??

http://www.civitas.org.uk/content/files/hatecrimethefactsbehindtheheadlines.pdf

Quite right I am addressing him incorrectly ... Maybe we could address him as Employer of Illegals if you could back up your earlier claim ???

Exactly (bib).

Your question has already been addressed. It's in the link. I suggest you read it and there's plenty more where that came from.

Time Magazine have document after document to prove he knew they were illegals yet they don't publish any ??? ... He's sworn in court umpteen times he didn't know and no nailed on proof he did ... Show the nailed on proof , as you say tha's plenty more

I'll make it simple for you.

If you only want to know the 'nice things' about that shiny new van you've always fancied then you only read the blurb on their website about how great and wonderful they are....which is exactly what they want you to believe as they don't want you reading any independent reviews in case you see any negativity.

Got it now? *-)

Oh you mean those "Independent" reviews from loony lefties (lol) ..........

So its a bit like reading the Koran and discovering its not us Kafirs who are Islamophobic............. but its actually Muslim's who are Kafirphobic :D .........

Stop being so bloody damned lazy....you're supposedly grown up so should know how to use a search engine. You're always searching out Islamaphobic bile......try using the same effort for a change of direction.

"She removed other goods with Nazi symbols"...........?

Oh dear Veronica .......I do hope you're not suffering from a spot of PC bias :D ......

I am most probably Dave. But I still smell a bit of a rat as far as her "innocent" explanation. I had previously written that I believed the council had been a bit heavy handed along with other stuff but edited it out because I thought I was going on too long. I don't possess the same talent you have for conveying an idea in one sentence ;-)

Veronica

A bit of a rat?......As in someone who is not ashamed of their countries history *-) ........

The Knights Templar are not history Dave nor are neo Nazis. Can't see the mugs she used to sell with Nazi symbols on the were of any use in WWII re-enactments I think it likely the old Nazis were rather fond of Meissen not cheap tat.
