Because of globalisation the big economic blocs tend to move together, simultaneous economic recoveries in Europe, Japan, emerging markets and North America have propelled US companies (who make lots of their money abroad) up along with others, So its Globalisation that has boosted the USA economy although to be fair his tax cuts in certain areas have helped. However his protectionist policies will come back and bite him on the arse eventually as its globalisation that is responsible for the world wide boom.
