Alanb
Not all of us are familiar with the Reich control panel. A close up photo of the required part may result in some suggestions. Alan
Keithl
I was going to suggest getting in touch with Allan at A and N Caravans but note their webpage for Reich say they no longer repair that make... http://www.aandncaravanservices.co.uk/reich-e-box.php However if you are only after that one part there is a slim chance they may be able to help you. Derek Uzzell
This firm advertises “ALL TYPES OF CARAVAN CONTROL PANEL REPAIRS” and carries photos of some Reich panels. http://leisureelectronicrepairs.co.uk/all-types-of-caravan-control-panel-repairs and this firm might also be able to help http://www.apuljackengineering.co.uk/product_repair.html (I think Stephen’s (rawhide’s) motorhome is a 2005 Burstner Elegance 681 - if that helps to identify which model of Reich control-panel it has.) If it hasn't been changed then it is the smaller version of the three options. The newer version are larger and have a different mount with more secure connections. The one I think that he is talking about has small leaf type springs made of brass that connect with pins in the other part of the mount. There is a company out here in France who advertise repair and return within 48 hours, but obviously it would take longer and cost more sending a part from and to the UK if they were willing to do it. http://www.electronique-camping-car.fr/index.php/documentations/17-documentations/47-reich-e-box
Derek Uzzell
The control panel for a Burstner 748 was mentioned in this 2012 MHFun forum thread, and photos of the front and rear of a 2004 and a 2006 Reich panel are provided https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/burstner-control-panel.59043/ As Stephen will (presumably) have removed the panel to know that replacement springs are required, he should be able to identify exactly which panel he has from its label. Nicepix
Derek Uzzell - 2019-05-31 2:20 PM The control panel for a Burstner 748 was mentioned in this 2012 MHFun forum thread, and photos of the front and rear of a 2004 and a 2006 Reich panel are provided https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/burstner-control-panel.59043/ As Stephen will (presumably) have removed the panel to know that replacement springs are required, he should be able to identify exactly which panel he has from its label. That is the early version that I referred to and the mount has leaf type springs that the display panel slides onto. The idea is that the springs maintain contact with those pins in the photo. The reality is that they often don't so Reich changed the design to a more reliable connection. The updated eDisplay is slightly larger, but offers exactly the same functions. How do I know this? Because our 2006 eBox failed in June 2018 and despite having a new updated model fitted I am still waiting for the clowns who supplied and fitted it (in three sessions over 7 months) to actually get all the functions working. The companies that offer repair and exchanges of these units might be the best place to source a new part from. If I still had the old eDisplay I would happily post it to the OP for him to salvage something from it, but I think it is with the dealer.
plwsm2000
These look like "pogo pins". They come in many shapes and sizes and if you just google "pogo pins", you might find what you are looking for. I can't say I have come across ones with replacable springs and you may have to replace the whole pin. They may also be available in various spring forces for exactly the same size pin (different internal springs) . A quick search on amazon comes up with a reasonable selection. rawhide
VERY IMPORTANT, This is to let all forum readers know that I mistakenly said in previous post that A and N engineers wanted £200 for a job for me, This was a genuine mistake on my behalf, I have sent a personal apology to them, To me its as important that anyone out there after reading my previous post reads this, to dispel any bad feeling to that company.
