At the same time the lying scumbag pledged to fix the system of social care for good. The manifesto reads: “Because this is a long-term problem that will affect so many people, any solution has to be able to survive long term. We must build the same level of consensus on social care as we have already built on the NHS. “So we will build a cross-party consensus to bring forward an answer that solves the problem, commands the widest possible support, and stands the test of time. That consensus will consider a range of options but one condition we do make is that nobody needing care should be forced to sell their home to pay for it.” He's already decimating the NHS and social care. The actual tax rise is to pay for the 'free' money the government has been handing out for the last 18 months, for the majority the social care costs problem won't be addressed by this, Boris 'the butcher' Kemal said at the last election he had a policy ready to go, it seems not. John52 Posted September 8, 2021 Author Share Posted September 8, 2021 Well I think the least worst time to pay tax is when you are dead and don't need money anymore Inheritance tax - and take away the loopholes that enabled the Duke of Westminster to inherit £10 billion tax free. But this Government would rather tax earned income. Presumably because the obscenely wealthy rentiers running the Government don't earn their income, they inherit it. So they will tax earners, so that parasites can inherit a property they have not earned. Which takes us even further away from a meritocracy, and the levelling up that Johnson promised to do.
