bucko1
we have a thetford n3150 fridge freezer,it works perfect on gas and battery but stopped working on electric, showing as code 8 on lights, we changed heating element and it worked for 2 days then stopped again showing same code, checked all wires got it working for 1 hour then it stopped again now cannot get it working at all still showing as code 8 on lights, would this mean element has packed up again or does powerboard need changing does anyone have any clue as to what is happening here tnx in advance
Ninian
Hi, According to a video on Youtube if you have continuity with the element, you require to change the power board. Look at Youtube Thetford Code 8 problem.
onecal
Check you have an electric supply to the unit and all connections, check your heater element , replace if faulty if not check the power board and replace if faulty . Regards
Labby
I believe that the power board on the rear of the N3150 has a fuse in it that is linked to mains operation and fault code 8 which may be worth checking.
onecal
Yes fuse should always be checked with a full connections check along with ensuring a supply Then the heater element and if they are all operational the power board needs some scrutineering or replacement
