Leigh
Hi - we have an Adria Twin 2005 Fiat Ducato Campervan, when it rains the cloth on the rear wall and back corner at high level is wet. We have had the small vent above the fixed bed renewed and the small rooflight in the corridor removed and resealed. Please can someone advise if they know of any common issues or how to fix. Thank You.
Keithl
Is the fabric of the wall covering trapped underneath the rear door rubber seal? If yes then the water could be wicking through from the exposed outer edge of the fabric.
Leigh
Thanks for your response - I checked the rear door seals and they seemed fine, the wall fabric is a long way from the rear door - the van is parked slightly sloping on a side forward angle and water seems to be coming from the top rear part of the van, so will keep looking any more suggestions would be appreciated Thanks
Keithl
Can you post a photo of the affected area to see if anyone can offer more help?
onecal
Hi You may just have fixed the issue by resealing your roof light and vent and it going to take some time for it to dry out .As Keithl suggests a photo or photos would be very helpful at this stages if the water ingress persists Of course turning it around may also be worth a try Have a good look around there may be a little hairline crack your missing Looking forward to some photos of same Regards
Leigh
Hi Fingers crossed I may have found it - there is a seal on the top of the roof where the roof meets the rear of the van running along the width. There seemed to be a crack in the sealant which has been resealed, and since then there doesn't seem to be any further issue. Thank you for your help Kind Regards
colin
Not sure of the construction of your model van, but the later x250/290 panel van has a roof made of up to a dozen panels with the joints sealed with a seam of 'mastic', I have wondered before it these ever spring leaks. Edited March 22 by colin clarified panel van
