Just need some info on what the 10 amp socket is for by the tv setup..

I am guessing you are referring to a standard auto 'lighter' socket. This used to be for the cigarette lighter before we all became healthy. It is now supplied as a direct 12 volt power point, and usually is 'live' even with the igntion off. Sorry, as you are in the caravan section, then this will be in your van and live when your battery is hooked up, or mains is cnnected. This will be a power source for your tv, but you can use it for other things that need a 12 volt supply. Most bits that use it come with the plug, but you can buy these separately if you wish. Remember that 10 amps at 12 volts is only 120 watts so do not plug in the wife's hairdryer or....kaboom!
