  1. Hi all Just a question , if more European countries now want to adopt safety stickers of their own (as Spain is proposing, see attached ) without having just one harmonised for Europe . Will their be room for them all on a Motorhomes over 3.5t ?
  2. Hi "Bub" As you just previously brought the motorhome , why not make contact with the previous owner (or dealer) as to the operation of the panel and changes that may have been made to same. This is common factor on old motorhomes where faults occurs Hopefully they will inform you as to exactly and why the changes were done to the panel and it's operation , before you attempt any changes or repair yourself. Stops all the guessing and gives you a heads up should you wish to repair or not Regarding the manual , who knows they may even have a sheet or two of same, (They may just have to look for it,one never knows ) Regards
  3. Hi Joanne Lol You can always ask to have them (wheels) refinished in a colour that you hoped for and wished and still retain the advantages I would be very surprised if you refused your order that this would not be done for you FOC to get the order finalised and over the line. Always very important to read the small print as the wheels are far from interchangeable. It's a personal choice of what colour you like and at the start it looked like from your initial post it may have been a deal breaker. You are not the first with this isssue , although some have accepted them others have not i am informed . Of course others have come around to love their new wheels May I again wish you well and happy travels in your new motorhome Brendan
  4. Hi It really goes back to what you ordered and asked for at the time and it's in writing Also important as I mentioned that you had read all the small print on ordering same Again you need to be happy with what you purchased . you can as I also mentioned have them re done in all black if they agree at their expense if you really prefer all black . It should not be a problem to get it over the line . Main thing is see what they say in their reply and hopefully it will be an acceptable outcome to you Best of luck with your new motorhome
  5. Hi Lets wait for Chausson advice on your issue .Very good advice from ColinM50 as you could indeed void your warranty in making any changes , Check your UK brochure fully for small print and as you have only ordered it yet you needed not accept until you are fully satisfied with you order as purchased from your brochure that may state "with black wheels". You could always have them "re sprayed " black of course at their expense . Take your time and let Chausson get back to you ,hopefully with a positive outcome that's acceptable to you. Regards
  6. Hi Definitely outside of the UK it does indeed look like both were used up to 2022 I am not sure they are the only motorhome builder on Fiats with this issue Regards
  7. Hi Paul Thanks for the update Regards
  8. Hi Of course you can always contact them yourself directly TRIGANO VDL (Customer service) 1 Avenue de Rochebonne CS 69003 07302 Tournon-sur-Rhône Cedex +33 (0)4 75 05 56 50, Email : contact@chausson.tm.fr
  9. Hi all Yes they just may not actually fit as Keithl has correctly pointed out . But I am amazed your dealer has not pointed to you actually why they may not ? or at least not made contact with Chausson themselves for a definitive explanation Regards
  10. Hi Jojo1971 You say they won't fit the automatic model??? Fill us all in a little more when the dealer gets back to you Regards
  11. Hi All in the eye of the beholder as obviously from the OP above and he says he has been informed because it's an automatic???? Maybe Jojo1971 will get back to us and tell us all why, the dealer or whoever may gave him this information Or is it just an advertisement ploy? Regards
  12. Hi Ask the dealer , why automatic ? Or is it an advertisement ploy ? Regards
  13. Hi Topper It really is a very personal choice and it looks like you have made up your mind to go for the Diesel option. They all , both Diesel and Gas have their advantages and disadvantages and they are all well highlighted in the comments from all here . You say you are finding difficult to get gas at the moment , that also may be an issue with diesel in a few years time, also pollution laws (who knows) as everything is uncertain with energy at the moment. The main thing no matter what option you go for Gas or Diesel is to go out there and enjoy yourself Wishing you the best of luck with your new motorhome Brendan
  14. Hi All Clearly the body construction differs within those years . Well spotted Keithl . I think it would be prudent of Alan not to do any work to his locking system of his new motorhome until he contacts his dealer first. Regards
  15. Hi, This is why I would contact Benimar dealer for their advice thus preventing maybe voiding any warranty on your new motorhome Regards
  16. Hi Ian That's good news if you are working again since you refilled in France , You may have answered and found your problem re the Gas you were using Regards
  17. Hi Ian , It should display a flash code on the board itself . You will have to remove the cover to see the flash codes on the boiler board (Photo attached) Yes you need to re check all your gas supply as your boiler may actually not be getting a sufficient gas supply. Regards
  18. Hi I would contact Benimar for their advice thus preventing maybe voiding any warranty on your new motorhome Regards
  19. Hi When you say it does not display a code ??? It should in the form of a flash code So check out what your flash codes are giving you Example:-a very common fault on the 6E unit is the combustion air fan and is given by five short flashes , two long flashes and one short flash Regards
  20. Hi Ian Let us know how you got on , as it may help others here Regards
  21. Hi Andy I think you should inform all, as to what Fiat Ducato Alternator you may have fitted Regards
  22. Hi What fault code is coming up on the unit I think there may have been a recall back then within certain serial numbers , You would have to contact Truma direct as I have not got the information to hand and may not be useful to you if it does not pertain to the exact model or within serial numbers within the recall Regards
  23. Ah OK Yes I know your engine quite well, It's the older model and not the OM 642. 6 cylinder we were referring to in previous posts. Yes your 5 cylinder is a very good engine capable of very high mileage with proper maintenance and that model is not that difficult either to remove the battery from the sprinter model with a little care and know how. Not great ergonomics though where the battery is situated especially within the A Class It's such a pity the top end servicing of the A Class can be so difficult and resulting in extra high costs because of poor aces and I am informed not just down to Hymer or indeed Merc' engine models Thank you for your update Brendan
