    Roy,

Would you like me to change the thread title to read "Stiff roof light blinds" ?

  2. Which show?

If you are looking at the Southern MH show on 16th to 20th May then advance bookings have closed and payment on the gate is £18 more than pre-booked but there isn't a figure stated!

However, other shows are typically £77 pre-booked for Friday arrival so that will be around £95 on the gate from Friday. Note day of departure is irrelevant in the price.

Which is why I was hoping onecal would at least tell us whether he has the Ford Technical Service bulletin he quotes.

I posted a link to that above!

My concern though is that the car braking system would not be operated, only the two wheels on the dolly. This would mean that the full weight of the car would in effect be pushing the motorhome when braking. Is there any way around this please.

And also only braking two wheels would not be legal!

From gov.uk webpage on A frame towing,   'ALL BRAKES ... MUST OPERATE...'   https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/a-frames-and-dollies/a-frames-and-dollies

  5. Stuart,

As well as not being legal on the brake situation a tow dolly is considered a recovery aid only and is then classed  as two trailers so brings with it lower speed limits and restrictions on use.

Here is a link to a discussion on UKCampsite.co.uk https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=18 giving more details.

I think your only answer for an auto car is a full trailer to lift all four wheels off the road.

    Hi

I am afraid they do fail regardless of the oil used as it becomes diluted and contaminated with soot, ( regular oil changes are not the norm anymore ) This is well known and Ford have issued a Technical Service Bulletin . The saga goes on and on . At the moment it wouldn't be my choice of motor

Nearest I can find is a recall letter... https://www.arval.nl/sites/default/files/119/2022/07/20B44_Ford.pdf
