Oh Lordy ... The squad never fail do they ... Not a word about Spain /Italy/Swedens socialist Government response ... How very , very sad ... Noted the thread started by a member who thinks it acceptable to spew homosexual slurs at folk and not a single member on here condemning that bigotry ... Hypocrites one might say

You see, that's why you get up my nose, and probably others too, Birdbrain. Nothing stopping you bringing into the posting other governments' ways of handling the crisis, whatever their political persuesion. But you have to come out all guns blazing, and bring in your sexuality, which frankly I'm not interested in, only your and others viewpoints, preferably politely.

[/QUOT

Politely , it wasn't me that initially brought my sexuality and continues to do so onto Chatterbox princess ... You might wanna fact check before hating ... Politely hating

Oh you do have a problem don't you! Only time I've seen your sexuality mentioned is by you.

Really ... Bulletguy has mentioned it more than once ... "Pansy Boy" I think it was ... Move on

So, you take offence at pansy boy, well, I'm not surprised, not very nice although can't recall seeing it. But cuts both ways, please don't call me princess.

"Princess" is a term of endearment ( look it up ) ... Pansy Boy as used on numerous occasions by Bulletguy against me is a well known homophobic slur which the moderators and the squad seem happy to ignore

Suggest you look it up. Female member of royalty. I'm male, so it's not appropriate, nor do I look to endearment from anyone, except from my wife. Does your wife follow your posts?

Im not married and never have been ... its a sore point with some members

Mmmmm ... Makes you wonder how many anti-Tory/Boris types think the same ... https://twitter.com/british_gammon/status/1246925995719954434/photo/1 ... I suspect a lot

Nasty, especially as it appears it could really be very serious for Boris. His family must be beside themselves with worry. Checked the news this morning. Think it might be a case of no news of his current condition is not good news. Seen something on line that says that if symptoms persist for this long it can result in the immune system going into overdrive and attacking healthy cells.

If proof were ever needed, it just goes to prove that idiots exist. First for thinking it, second for publishing it. It has gone ominously silent. I suspect he is in trouble. He's been looking very unwell, and he clearly hasn't thrown off the virus within the desirable timescale.

The internet is full of arseholes that will post stuff like that just to wind people up. I am sure they are a tiny minority but of course stuff like this gets shared and goes viral, thats what they want. I do not trust or like Boris Johnson but I wish him a speedy recovery.

It's possibly a fake Twitter account as it doesn't exist.

As to the latest on Johnson; https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/breaking-boris-johnson-kept-hospital-21821471#source=push

Not sure why Matt Hancock was out opening the Nightingale field hospital after just seven days testing positive and self-isolating either as this contradicts the WHO recommendation of fourteen.

Yes I agree Barry "The internet is full of ar$eholes" (shouldn't the squad be on to that swearing by the way as it might just go against forum rules) ... I remember only last week "one of those ar$eholes" proudly boasting sumat like Boris is a "$hit excuse for a human being" ... Funny old world ... Another of those "ar$eholes" ... https://twitter.com/bulldog_spirit1/status/1246920191428169728

Wishing someone dead and calling someone a poor excuse for a human being are not the same are they? I dont trust Johnson and his merry bunch of rotten side kicks, I dont like any of them. I think they have torn this country apart for a generation not to mention the damage they have done and were about to inflict. Ive known people like Johnson. All they and he were ever concerned with is themselves and their route to power. They put on a good act, people fall for it, they even call him by his first name (Which isnt actually Boris). Good old Boris they will say, he's just a fun eccentric good old English bloke. No he isnt. Hes a self centred con man. He doesnt care about you or me. He only cares about himself and his backers. Thats why I called him what I did as I can see through him. Met too many people like him over the years, worked with plenty of his types.

However, as said. I do not wish him dead as I am sure most people do not. The irony is if you think back to Maggie Thatcher I think there were a fair few that rejoiced when she finally passed away and most of them are now backing Johnson.

Regarding your Margaret Thatcher comment I presume you mean Liebour voters what turned Tory for Brexit ??? You have answered that yourself many times princess havent you , you call them "f2cktards" I think , stupid , thick and the rest ... I think I have explained it pretty clearly. My feelings on Johnson and his government have not changed but I wish him well no more or no less than anyone who is unfortunate enough to fall victim to this virus. I think you will find this is what I said before his symptoms became serious.

As for your comment from last week I dont know how many steps off your vile comment was about our PM from those being thrown about wishing him dead on Twitter ... A "$hit excuse for a human" isnt quite same as calling someone stupid or Pansy Boy or sumat like that is it ??? ... You'll explain though and clear it all up

I think I have explained it pretty clearly. My feelings on Johnson and his government have not changed but I wish him well no more or no less than anyone who is unfortunate enough to fall victim to this virus. I think you will find this is what I said before his symptoms became serious.

Thanks for the explanation and sorry for misunderstanding you ... Side issue I know but remembering its only last week that you told the internet he is a "$hit excuse for a human being" is he still that ??? ... Yet more ...

... Anti-Tory/Boris , Lordy have the left become so vile or were they always so vile but havent always had the internet to hate on ???

If your trying to put me on some kind of guilt trip for what I have said about Boris Johnson now that he is fighting for his life it wont work. I think my feelings towards him and the rest of his cabinet, backers and advisers have been made pretty clear over the past few years. So yes none of those opinions have changed but as I said, I do not wish him or any of them harm and as said I hope he recovers.

It does appear though that he and many of his cabinet have not really followed their own advice. Only a few weeks ago he was still advocating shaking hands in hospitals while the rest of the world was starting to lock down big style. I dont find that brave or admirable, just flaming stupid. They have not exactly set a great example to the nation who it seems many are still not taking this situation seriously and putting others at risk. Because of that its our valuable NHS staff that will pay the price.

As I keep saying though, I wish him well.

The internet is full of arseholes that will post stuff like that just to wind people up. I am sure they are a tiny minority but of course stuff like this gets shared and goes viral, thats what they want. I do not trust or like Boris Johnson but I wish him a speedy recovery.

Stupid Boy.

"Stupid Boy" ??? ... Why stupid boy ??? ... One can only assume that anyone who fills the internet with those words from last week would revel in our PMs current situation ??? ... Maybe you can explain why last weeks vile comment is different to those Twitter comments ???

We are indeed fortunate on this forum to have so many experts to guide and inform us, indeed their expertise was one of the reasons I stopped looking at this forum.

If we knew then what we know now we would maybe all have acted differently at times, and as with every event in history, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

We are where we are and all we can do individually is do our bit to stop the spread and to sincerely thank those who are putting themselves in harms way to protect and serve us all.

Thank you to all NHS people from cleaners to Doctors and everyone in between, carers, Royal Mail, delivery drivers, bus drivers and anyone else who is still working for the greater good - even politicians who are doing their best with limited and often contradictory knowledge and information.

It is so easy to sit safely at home and complain about those in charge and what should or should not be done but having the luxury to do that is testament to the strength and solidity of the British way of life and we should all be grateful for what we have.

I know I am.

I certainly agree with you on the former but let's not forget the current party in power was rapturous in applause at successfully blocking a pay rise for NHS nursing staff. People who voted in support of the government yet now come out to clap in appreciation, need to reflect on that.

The contradictory information was often woolly and unclear, yet the WHO guidelines were crystal clear in particular on the incubation period which they set at double that of UK. Why our government chose to ignore their advice is beyond me.

Key worker status was pretty obvious from the outset yet some companies [apparently] were still insisting their employees had to attend. Builders were not 'key workers' yet there were reports of some saying they had been told to go to work. Public transport, in particular trains, seemed to fall apart almost immediately as rather than increase the number of carriages, they put less on thereby making 'social distancing' physically impossible.

An explanation? I thought I had explained. Their delayed response, not securing the resources when they had the chance and Johnson playing the whole thing down and wandering around hospitals shaking hands with people when the rest of the world was already locking down lost us valuable time and set a bad example to the nation so yes, its quite possible the NHS will pay a price for that. Fellow Labour types? Told you before, Im politically homeless. Labour is not my natural political home, Im not a socialist.

As I said, hindsight is a wonderful thing, especially when it is selective.

Sure the Government has made mistakes, a lot more mistakes than South Korea and China for example, but far less than the USA and Spain/Italy perhaps? It is a lot easier to control a population, and via that infection rates, when you have heavy handed State control than it is where you have the freedoms that Europe and the USA have.

It is pure speculation whether any other UK party would have been that different and we will never know.

Ever since the 1940s the railway system in the UK has been dysfunctional as successive governments have failed to invest and develop it and the current obsession with making a profit on what should be, like the roads, a national asset beggars belief so it should come as no surprise to anyone that the system has collapsed at the first sign of hardship.

The only thing that borders on truth in that lot is you repeating my "fellow Labour types" ... Just those 3 words ... You've just campaigned for and voted for and defended time and again The Labour Party headed up by Jeremy ... If they aint your party then you are more confused than normal ... You have changed "NHS staff that'll pay the price" to "its quite possible the NHS will pay a price for that" ??? ...Regards
