Keithl
Hans - 2020-06-13 4:04 PM Why the inlet cold air is from the Underfloor ? And not from the cabin? That means there is no recirculation of Air inside. Hans, The heater has two air intakes, one for the combustion air and the other for the 'blown' air. The combustion air intake is from under the floor whilst the blown air intake is from inside the cabin. Keith.

Derek Uzzell
How hot does an Airtronic S2/D2 unit and its output trunking get when it’s operating? I notice that the hinged shelf above your heater has three vents in it, but, as you are going to store stuff in this underseat area, the likelihood is that those vents will get covered. It’s probably OK, but if it turns out that the space in which the heater sits does prove to become really hot, you might consider putting a small extractor fan in the front or side of the seat-base to suck the hot air out. This would also make use of heat that would otherwise be wasted.
Hans
Very nice covered by all above. Give it a go. And see what happens in practice.

The installer noticed that the cupboard used had vents at the bottom and back of the cupboard. They seem to be there to facilitate transfer of warm or cold air from the cab ventilation system. Rather than have the shelf block off the transfer of air from these vents they decided to add vents to the shelf. We're mindful of this and certainly won't be loading the cupboard with blankets or anything else that would block the vents completely.
