You're certainly showing some typical British Lefty Socialist traits :D .........

I can see why they left Brexit voting Cornwall (lol) .........

You offend me.

Never voted socialist.

Maybe communist.

You know, those of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold.

Besides, I think John le Carré lived in Saint Buryan, Cornwall and it makes sense.

So your well "hard" Left of Left :D ..........

Cant say I didn't know ;-) .......

My Ranting Rabid Lefty detector is very highly tuned nowadays B-) .......

Do you know boccalone fish?

It's that you just need to launch the hook and it puts it in its mouth by itself.

Here it is very common but I see it is also on the other side of the Channel.

I prefer Haddock......Battered ;-) ........

Which is how I like to treat Loony Liberal Socialist/Communist Lefties >:-) .......

So if your not any of those :-S .........

I can only assume seeing as Italy was the origin of Fascism you follow their creed? 8-) ........

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-8364955/Nissan-close-Barcelona-auto-plant-boost-Sunderland-jobs.html

What was it the Haters said would happen to the car industry if we voted for Brexit? :-S ........

"Nissan's chief executive Makoto Uchida said the production in Europe will be centered at the British plant"

Nope I don't think it was that? ;-) .........

No doubt Bullet will be along to remind us all soon (lol) (lol) (lol) ..........

Makoto has changed his tune......Lets hope it doesn't come to this.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8382919/Nissan-warns-Sunderland-plant-7-000-staff-unsustainable-Brexit-talks-collapse.html

This is a very complex subject. Renault bailed Nissan out during the Japanese financial crisis and each company owns some shares in the other. The French Government also own a part of Renault as does the Renaultt Pension Fund. Lately Nissan have been trying to buy themselves out of the Renault ownership, but Renault and the French Government don't want to let go whilst Nissan feel that they are being held back and don't want to be ties into making cars in France given the union power and difficulties in implementing new working practices and reducing pension commitments.

Renault are also in dire financial difficulties and are relying on Japanese technology to muddle through the reduction in emissions required by EU laws. The French government have even said that without massive subsidies Renault will disappear. Those subsidies would infringe EU rules on subsidising businesses.

So, basically Nissan don't know which way to turn. Ideally they would want to buy out of the Renault side of things and concentrate building cars in the UK where they have a sea port and a reliable labour force with an engineering background. But, they are facing pressure from France to re-locate there post Brexit. It could go either way.

Since Roman times we are precursors.

Always some imbecile follows us.

Oswald Mosley was not Italian ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Union_of_Fascists ).

Not to mention some member of some ruling house.

But it is better not to go so deep. For some it may be offensive.

As for me, it's not your problem.

But don't worry, I'm far from being a fascist.

As long as your knowledge of the world is confined to your island lost in the Atlantic, you will struggle to understand others.

Continental politics is far more complex than a simple juxtaposition of two major parties.

Maybe because we have much more political culture than you can imagine.

In any case in Italy:

The communist party dissolved almost thirty years ago. It remains a very small party of nostalgics and no importance.

A few more years lasted the socialist one and his heir is in the same conditions just seen.

Since the second half of the twentieth century, the liberal party has always been a small one that seldom exceeded 4/5% of the vote.

If as "Tories" we want to think of Berlusconi and his personal interests, then yes, we have them too.

But now they are on the verge of survival having lost all credibility.

The ex-fascists and those who support them remain.

Here, coincidentally, the opposition to Europe lurks.

I don't think you'd understand the rest, too complicated for a simple guy like you.

What its saying is that Instead of free trade where everyone does what they do best, trade will be so difficult that making everything here might be the only alternative. Whether we are any good at it or not.

What effect do you think that will have on competition ...price .... and quality *-)

If sacrificing free trade and doing everything in your own country was such a good idea, why do you think its only you that has thought of it *-)

Great! Hang on though. Laura Ashley and Ted Baker? Who buys their stuff? Not Brexit voters I imagine. George at Asda or Matalan I imagine is their favourite outlet. Cheap as chips s**te made in far east sweat shops. It would be great to see British clothing manufacturers compete but without the replication of slave labour sweat shops your £2.99 tracksuits you are fond of may be a thing of the past. (lol) I guess all those migrants coming in illegally could be employed on the black market in clothing sweat shops in Leicester perhaps.

We still couldn't compete with them because our other costs are higher.

Rents....power and water since the Tories flogged it off to foreign corporations..legal costs...transport costs and all the other costs inflated by stealth taxes...

Be like East Germany where the only car you could get was a Trabant with a 5 year waiting list

I was right ;-) .......They didn't like it (lol) (lol) (lol) ........

Correction Pelmet! I think the word I used was "Great!".

I do like it. What I said was the Brexiteers wont like it.

I dont have a problem paying for quality goods or goods that have been made in the UK or from a country that does not employ slave labour (although its hard to always know). I suspect a lot of the Brexit voting public might not though when they see how much more its gonna cost them for a pair of tracky bottoms or an Ingeeeerland shirt.

Neither do I ;-) ........

We still have the Laura Ashley suite that we bought in 1986 when I was a bus driver B-) .......

Although I did a few years ago replace the covers with some fabric I had left over from a job I did for some Arabs in London ;-) .........

That fabric cost £80 a metre in the late 90's 8-) ........
