I must admit I did post a photo of Anthony who is pretending to be me with his name Mr B Dobson on his march at a Pride event which was a bit explicit so that one might have been my fault but apart from that. I have been given guidelines by the Admins to remove any thread with inappropriate comments, offensive language or images or personal or political insults. That blooming Brexit has made Keiths job even more difficult IMO so big respect goes out to him for being there for us all to talk to when it all gets a bit much . The comments can be robust but compared to what I read on Facebook for instance they do not warrant the complete removal of entire threads because of a couple of posts that only the sensitive 'woke' could find offensive. For a long time this section was dominated by two people whose entire output was traducing the monarchy and the present government. This constant barrage repulsed many regular contributors who voted with their feet. In the last few weeks some have returned, only to find an over-zealous and highly subjective interpretation of the rules of conduct, which is frustrating and can only stifle debate and deter contributors just as much as the two serial moaners did. There's no need to remove a thread. If a moderator spots a post or two that he thinks are unacceptable why can't he just remove the posts? And if the said moderator claims he doesn't have the extra few minutes needed to do this, he should resign and find someone who can do the job properly. I note that you have time to trawl through a poster's history to try to prove that he or she is operating under a different gender, but don't have the time to remove individual posts that you think break the rules and just zap an interesting and lively thread instead. An old poster returns and for a laugh decides he's Belinda. No one was fooled, except you of course, but look on the bright side, he injected a bit of life into a moribund forum and, as a result, others returned as well. To be fair to Warners, even with the heavy handed moderation we can still post in public.
