Has the leak only appeared after being stored for the winter? If yes then it is most likely frost damage from not being 100% drained down. I split a Shurflo pump many years ago by assuming that draining the pipes would drain the pump, but it obviously did not! I now disconnect the outlet from the pump and run it for 2 or 3 seconds to blow out any water remaining in the valve chambers.

Well I've just renewed our MH insurance and the premium had only gone up 5% so to me that is about right for inflation. Insured with AXA through the C&MC scheme. Keith.

The Merc 208d will only be 80 Horse Power so will not be the fastest thing on the road, in fact it will be quite pedestrian and barely able to keep up with modern traffic on fast roads. Our 2004 Merc Autotrail is 130 HP and still is on the slow side of things. As for the Autotrail side of things, everything depends on how it has been cared for over the years. If it has had water ingress and damp then it may or may not have been repaired properly so make sure you get it inspected by someone who knows what they are looking at or be prepared for plenty of DIY. Also the appliances fitted, if still original, will almost certainly be obsolete so be prepared for problems if they go wrong. Keith.

Hi Trevor and welcome to the forum, But unfortunately I doubt you will get any meaningful discussion here as the Caravan forums are very rarely, if ever, used these days. In fact the last request for any kind of help was posted on the first of December last year and was from a new forum member in New Zealand and he never got any replies to his request for help. Have you tried a better aerial then Steve? We have DAB radios in our MH and both daily cars and all get near perfect reception no matter where we are. I fitted the Sony unit in the MH a couple of years ago and used a Halfords mag mount aerial (similar to this https://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/stereo-fittings/autoleads-magnetic-dab-antenna-575883.html) laid across under the dash so not visible, and it works great. Maybe try plugging in an external aerial and play with location?

More importantly then the make of MH what is the base vehicle as this will determine what radio will fit the dash?

How did the mechanic ascertain the 'wrong oil' had been put in? Unless he had it analysed I don't see how he could have known! Or had the owner filled the engine with something like DEF by mistake??? Keith.

I use the cheapest of them all, pure tap water straight from my kitchen tap! Fill the tank and purge through all the pipes, leave 24 - 48 hours then rinse and repeat. It's worked for me for the last sixteen years! Keith.

Is the fabric of the wall covering trapped underneath the rear door rubber seal? If yes then the water could be wicking through from the exposed outer edge of the fabric.
