We don't need the voice of 26 self interested countries in the EU to speak for us.......We are quite capably of speaking for ourselves *-) ........

We are. They don't. Oh, and if you mean the EU, it is 28 countries including us. All the other 27 also speak for themselves. You really don't understand this EU thing, do you? :-D

Oh but I do ;-) ......How many of them are "NET CONTRIBUTORS????" >:-) ........

Just askin???? :D .......

In the interests of general information: Germany, France, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy,

Sweden, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, are all net contributors, from highest to lowest.

Just answerin'. :-D

So that's 10 out of 27 ;-) ...........

Of which the Net donations of the bottom 5 or 6 add up to "our" Net contribution >:-) ............

Nice try Brian .....but no banana :D........

Just sayin (lol) ........

Barry loves his surveys and polls ... Heres an EU funded one ... https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/965412/european-union-eurobarometer-survey-brussels-election-2019 ... Oh dear

Typical Brexpress headline "The End of the EU". :D People may be dissatisfied with the EU but in the main they have no intention of leaving it. There have been plenty of EU wide polls and none of them suggest any country is close to wanting a referendum and if it did the public would vote to leave. Of course it needs to reform but any organisation always needs to reform.

With great pleasure, here is a Daily Mail link!

This is how much faith Jacob Reek Smug and his bunch of Brexit Elite investment tycoons have in Britain Succeeding after Brexit.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5775673/Moggs-Moscow-Millions-Brexiteers-firm-poured-fortune-Russian-companies.html

Smug told us that Britain would be set to soar after Brexit but chooses to invest heavily in Russia and not a bean in the UK.

Don't understand "net donations" - can you explain? What "donations"?

You do realise that the UK is seventh in the scale of its per capita contribution to the EU, but is third in size in terms of population? Only Germany, of those listed above who pay in more per capita than the UK, has a larger population than the UK. Of that group, people in Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands each pay twice as much (Germany), or more (Netherlands and Sweden), as people from the UK.

As I said above, you don't really understand this EU thing, do you? Just askin' :-D

BTW, your hastily grabbed figures are from 2007: mine are from 2013/4. But I'm open to more recent offers, if anyone has them! :-)

"donation"

noun

something that is given to a charity, especially a sum of money.

As a Brexiteer I believe charity begins at home ;-) ........

No, we earn less per employee because our businesses are inefficient compared to the rest of the EU.

In terms of per capita GDP, Britain ($40K) ranks 10 in the EU, and 21 in the world (Luxemburg is highest: $104K). Not where we should be.

The more efficient EU countries have the same exposure to migrant workers as the UK, many greater because they are in Schengen, so the EU migration argument doesn't stand up.

You're right though, I don't get this Brexit thing at all. As you keep demonstrating, you Brexiters don't understand the EU thing, and want to leave it for spurious reasons. Bonkers! :-D

Yeah I saw it. Absolute cock! He is a director with a 20% share and he has nothing to do with Investement policy? Don't make me laugh. His Investement policy will be driven by his dodgy tax dodging investors who will not be too keen on the new EU tax directives coming in if we stayed in the EU. As for his company backing Russia instead if the UK because the UK is not an emerging market more bollox. How is Russia an emerging market? Brexit was all about profit to these people and the harder the better for these types of Investement firms. They want Britain as a low tax, low regulation haven and markets in Russia will be a dead cert when our and Europes economy suffers.

Smuggy isn't daft he just thinks us plebs are and clearly we are / were.

If he really has his countries interest at heart and truly thinks Britain will soar post Brexit like he promised then surely he will sell his shares immediately in sommerset holdings and distance himself from such a company. Let's bet he doesn't though.

I'm trying to quit working Dave not take on more but I won't lie, I wouldn't turn another one down. Everybody won. Local Businesses, local suppliers and those running the project. It probably saved a lot from going under when the sh1t hit the fan in 2008/9.

That boats long sailed now though and I have no personal vested interest in remaining in the EU unlike those like smuggy and the rest of the ERG and their puppet masters who definitely have a vested interest in leaving.

Eh? Hardly the same league. £150K salary and a £500K house? Wow *-) . Most garden sheds in London are worth that much these days and you need a six figure salary there just to stand still.

Hardly in the same league as serial Victorian Twaat Smuggy who just blew £5million on yet another home from the proceeds of his dodgy investment firm. You know the one that heavily invests in emerging markets which outside of the EU and single Market the UK will have to turn to thus making Smuggy even richer.

The man who thinks women who get pregnant as a result of being raped should not be allowed a termination but is happy to invest in dangerous abortion pills. He could be our next leader and your worried about Jezza.

Eh? ... Youve just knocked off £20000 off the value of Corbyns home and your six figure salary needed just to stand still in London is actually a London average wage of about £35000 Barry ... How do those Londoners manage ??? Mustn't go to the restaurants , cocktail bars and hotels you stayed in while living the fat cat life eh ??? ... You do know apart from Rees Moggs "dodgy investment firm" which I would love to see some evidence of illegal practice that your insinuating takes place both he and his wife are from extremely wealthy backgrounds so again I would love to know how you know where his money came from that bought his new London pad ... Being pro-life doesn't mean your pro-rape and as for what his investment company invests in for investors c'mon ... I dont think hes been involved with the day to day running of the business since he became an MP and which wealthy investors would trust a company or want to deal with a company who put out a list of investments they wouldnt make because of one of the owners personal religious beliefs ???

Eh?

Has Brexit really become so all important that a normal bloke like yourself would defend an odious self centred Dickensian creep like Smug just because he supports your kind of Brexit? Just go and take a look at the big players that are supporting a hard Brexit Antony and ask yourself why they are. These are not stupid people but none of them are doing it for the good of the country, quite the opposite. Everyone now that is prepared to open their eyes can see just how utterly damaging a hard Brexit will be and the only ones left supporting it that are in power or who can yield power over politicians are all the Reek Smugs and Arron Banks of this world with a vested financial interest. Any of us plebs that still support such a Brexit are just playing into their hands and it will be them (The plebs) that will be the losers.

I dunno how anyone survives on £35K in London to be honest. I Feel sorry for them. You can live like a king on that here.

With great pleasure, here is a Daily Mail link!

This is how much faith Jacob Reek Smug and his bunch of Brexit Elite investment tycoons have in Britain Succeeding after Brexit.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5775673/Moggs-Moscow-Millions-Brexiteers-firm-poured-fortune-Russian-companies.html

Smug told us that Britain would be set to soar after Brexit but chooses to invest heavily in Russia and not a bean in the UK.

You forgot this bit ;-) .........

Mr Rees-Mogg distanced himself from the investments made by his company. He told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I have not run the investment policy for SCM for years. Contractually we can only invest in emerging markets and the UK is not an emerging market.’

No doubt you think this is OK though? *-) ...........

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5775867/Ruwandan-dictator-spends-30-million-UK-aid-sponsoring-Arsenal-FC.html

Well he wouldn't be the only hypocrite would he ... https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/jeremy-corbyn-should-decent-thing-9973747 ... Our next PM in less than 305 days according to one Barry ... Millionaire Marxist Jeremy ... Joins a long list of Champagne Socialists me thinks

Barry like with most topics your wrong ... The Rees Mogg EU hard Brexit get rich quick theory you continually throw about is utter tripe ... Tripe just like knocking £200000 off Corbyns property and tripe just like not knowing how anyone survives on £35000 in London ... Well obviously only the majority of Londoners manage to "survive" on that figure or near to it ... You "feel sorry for them" ... Lordy

Im not wrong. Go and search for yourself, the evidence is everywhere and its not just my theory. Arron Banks, Peter Hargreaves, James Hosking, Robert Edmiston and Crispin Odey channelled £14.9 million to different pro-Brexit groups. Why would that be then? Do you think they were thinking about getting shot of Immigrants, our NHS or the man in the street? (lol)

They and their hedge fund betting pals have been campaigning against the EU for years, long before the referendum although they were instrumental in us having the referendum. They do not want regulation or tax laws being dictated from Europe and their goal is for a Deregulated tax haven UK. Nothing to do with the reasons you thought you were voting for Brexit for. That was just vote fodder to whip up the Mail readers into voting leave. Hows that all going? Doesnt look like much of what was promised will be delivered but as long as those that funded it get what they want eh?

As for Corbyns house. FFS! Have you seen it? I stand corrected. The article says it thinks its worth between £600K to £700K

I think its the middle one. I wouldnt give you seven quid for it let alone seven hundred thousand. (lol)

Anyone who owns a property in London is probably a millionaire on paper

Cool we got the price right ... I bet you believe in all the conspiracy theories don't ya ... Monroe , Kennedy , Roswell , Brexit rich Tory stitch up ... Hang on a minute though for that rich Tory stitch up to take full effect that Labour Government that you promised before Brexit takes place that's going to finish off the Tories could well put an end to all that get rich quick Brexit theory of yours ... It could be a Hollywood blockbuster Barry but I don't think anyone other than you would understand the.plot
